This month we hosted the six monthly regional meeting of local energy trusts. It was well attended by Waipa Networks Trust, WEL Energy Trust, King Country Electric Power Trust, and Tauranga Energy Consumer Trust. We discussed our membership body, trusts role in economic development, the Waikato Story, and our strategic plans.
November 2014
The Trustees represented Waipa Networks Trust at the Energy Trusts of New Zealand Conference held 6/7 November in Oamaru. It was a very interesting conference as we got to see the challenges faced in the Waitaki Region and how the Waitaki Power Trust have worked with the community to overcome this and create massive economic benefits to the region.

The Trustees represented Waipa Networks Trust at a regional meeting of local energy trusts hosted by WEL Energy Trust. It was great to meet with the other Trusts and discuss our regional opportunities and challenges.
